only the engine is die cast
Only the engines are die cast, the cars are all cheap plastic. The hook on one of the cars broke when he tried to connect it the moment it was out of the box. I would pay more for a set that is all die-cast. I would give one star but they do look great and my son liked them thought was disappointed that it broke immediately. I "fixed" it with a string.

Dont buy these!!
Description says die cast trains. Only the engines are die cast , every other piece is cheap plastic. One of the cars didnt even have wheels. The plastic pieces that connect the cars broke within minutes of trying to put them together. Had to throw them away! My grandkids couldn't even play with them. Terrible product, waste of money!

A Great Deal
I originally bought these as cake toppers, but we also ended up using some as decoration for our n-scale model train set. The kids (ages 2 and 3) loved to see them on the cake and play with them afterwards. I will say that the 2 year old tried to eat them and it fell apart pretty easily, leaving small pieces in his mouth. I won't take any stars away for that because these certainly aren't meant for that sort of play... I saw these in the store recently, and one set (of 4 cars) was $12-15. Here, you get four sets (of 4 cars) for less than $21! We still have some leftover. Great deal - would recommend.

Cute product, but not durable for kid play
