At first I thought the teeth were too sharp in the end where the teeth are wider. Out of desperation I decided to try it since nothing else was working on my dogs matting next to the skin. It worked well and my dog doesn’t mind, however I am very careful with that side. Teeth are strong and the comb works better than anything I have ever tried. 4 stars because those teeth should be rounded a bit more.

I have a stainless steel flea comb -solid one piece of metal- that I have had for almost twenty years. It still works perfectly and I was tired of getting plastic handle detangling combs that would break or just yank at the hair and coat. I have a twenty year old long haired tabby cat that will claw your eyes out if you pull on her fur too much. Being a pet mom to two cats and four dogs, I needed something durable and easy to wash and go to the next pet. I like the weight of this comb and that I can work with both sides very easily. It may feel a little bulky at first, but when you get the hang of it, you'll be glad you've got a detangling comb that will last, not come unglued if it happens to get wet, well, at least I am.

The comb is rather long, larger than I expected. My dog is only 6 lb so I needed a small comb.

Best comb ever! I have a Maine Coon cat who has very thick, hard to manage hair. I have to brush him every single day and he still gets small mats everywhere. This comb works very well in getting those mats out. One half of the comb has the teeth close together, and on the other half they are much farther apart. This is ideal depending on the size of mat. It's like two combs. It's also very effective in just combing the hair every day because it gets the lose hair from underneath, not just the top. I'm very impressed with this comb. It's also very well made and sturdy. I have a ton of brushes and combs, and this ranks #1. I have 3 cats and use it on all of them.

I got this comb because my cat had a large knot that the brush wouldn’t get out. This comb did the trick.The combination of large and small tines worked perfect to get out the knot without hurting my cat.

This detangling comb is great! I have a Maine Coon kitty, and this breed has a dense undercoat which is prone to matting. No matter how much I brush her, she always seems to get mats. In the past, grooming has been less than pleasant for both of us. Not so with this detangling comb! I’ve been able to get some thick mats out without a lot of effort and without any complaints from her. I highly recommend this product! Also - if you’ve never used a detangling comb, it’s worth doing an internet search for “how to use a detangling comb” to use the right technique.

Great product

I like this comb while it is a bit long and I only need the small teeth for my yorkie it does work great at keeping the tangles/knots out of her hair. I just have to be careful using it cause it could hurt her because of the size of the comb verses her
