Awesome Grow Lights
These grow lights work better than many others I have. I have had them for a couple of months and they are working very well. I have replaced 2 of the 5 bulbs in my kitchen light fixture to help my plants through the winter. I will be purchasing more.

Purplish cast to light, good for low light plants
Of the three different "white light" LED grow bulbs I purchased (of various brands) for both SAD and seed germination before spring, this is my least favorite. It has a distinctly purplish cast to the light, seems to have less lumens than the others I tried, and (at the moment of this review), cost slightly more than one of the others, and was almost the same price as another. The biggest benefit of this bulb is the energy savings - it uses the least amount of energy to operate out of all the bulbs I tried. This seems to work best for my low-light plants that need indirect or diffused light. My African violet against a NE wall is the only plant that seems to be truly loving this bulb, so I'd say it's useful for oddly fussy plants like that.

A must have for greenhouse
I love those grow lights; they make my seeds germinate in one day! I'm not kidding; my greenhouse has two of them. Before, I had so many barritas lights, and they failed me badly, so I bought these, and I don't even turn on the barritas anymore. My plants are happier, bigger, and greener than before.

So Much Power for the Price
Love these bulbs. They're so bright (photo w/lamp on vrs lamp off - no flash) and even placed 18'' away my tropical plants that need "bright, indirect" lighting are growing better than they did sitting within 8'' of my west window. It's the middle of winter and my Begonia are starting to bloom again under these lights. You actually have to be careful not to sunburn your plants; I've singed the tips on a few, LOL. My favorite thing is that they're white light to the eye so they don't distort the view of your plants. Most strips of LED grow lights you have to replace the entire strip when one dies, and most are not sold in single strips, this makes replacing them expensive. These are light any house bulb, put it in any standard screw in bulb fixture and replace the bulb easily when one dies. The only thing is since these bulbs are rather long, you can't cram them up underneath shelves of a mini greenhouse. I have mine in a gooseneck fixture on the side outside of my green house with them tilted to shine inside from the side (see last photo). To put them inside my greenhouse I would have to remove a shelf or 2 to double the height clearance between shelves. A single light hung in the middle above a shelf would cast light over an entire 3 foot long shelf however. Great bulbs for ceiling light fixtures in a plant room or standing lamp fixtures to cast light around to big plants standing throughout a room. I may get slightly weaker screw in bulbs for hanging up inside of my greenhouse, again since I've burned plants with these GE ones, and then move these bulbs to my ceiling fan in the plant room.

Highly recommend!
When I chose & moved into my apartment I completely neglected to think about the natural light factor. My bedroom window is shaded by the balcony of the upstairs apartment, no bathroom windows, living room wall is on interior side (no windows). Glass doors in living room provide bright indirect light but aside from a small corner next to the wall there’s nowhere I can put plants close enough to those doors for the light to be strong enough. Cue these grow lights. I put three in my windowless bathroom to replace the vanity lights. One in my bedroom, one in the living room. Just clustering the plants underneath the lights where I can. All of them are doing well and most are putting out new growth. I’ve had the lights for four months now, and they are the primary if not only light source for the plants that live under them. The plants I keep under these bulbs seem to be just as healthy as the ones I keep under a Soltech light. The light these bulbs give off is a crisp white, which means my bathroom in particular is obnoxiously bright and the lamps I screwed these into don’t exactly create mood lighting (soltech light is slightly warmer hue). But that’s a small price to pay to be able to keep my plants alive and thriving. I bought these based on the rave reviews so I figured I’d add one more to the pile to help make someone’s decision easy the way mine was!
