Sipologie Vintage French Press Coffee Maker (350ml)

Upgrading my rating to four. The first one I got was broken; I could hear the glass tinkling even before I opened it, and I had been warned about this by a previous review. However, the replacement was intact (whew). The plunger went in too smoothly and I feared I'd get grounds all over my coffee, but the, in the end, it was a good cuppa with zero grounds. The glass did not break on contact with the hot water. the quality seems ok. So yeah, all good. Deducting the one point because of the less than snug plunger-glass fit.

I use it to cold brew my coffee. Overall, this is a good press, with one flaw. The junction where the bottom end of the handle meets the press has a small recess/indentation on the inside, so the press can only be plunged up to the level of the bottom end of the handle. Pressing it any further causes coffee grounds to leak and float up.Overall, is a good product for the price, as long as your coffee is ground coarsely.

Have been using it for past 3 months. This can make green tea as well, all you need is some dry green tea leaves and the method is same as coffee. I am satisfied with the glass quality as it didn't break during my rough use while cleaning. It may look like a thin glass but that is necessary to sustain high temperatures. Other thing is mesh filter which is hard to clean because coarser coffee grounds stick in between that. So you definitely need some patience while cleaning it.I bought this because it's made of glass and metal which is good for health instead of those plastic ones, looks classy too.

The plunger doesn't fit as tightly into the glass as it should. As a result, the coffee doesn't get properly strained and some of the grinds end up in your cup.(Fortunately, I had another plunger from an old French press, which fits much better into this glass. Hence not returning this item. Otherwise I would have requested a return.)

Value for money. A good buy

It has been 2 days and it's already rusted. I will return the product go to Cafe Coffee Day and buy another French Press.***Update 1 - Cafe Coffee Day French Press***French Press at Cafe Coffee Day costs me around 400 Rs. Trust me when I tell you... That Ccd French Press is best you can buy under 500. Guys do not waste ur money on this French Press unless you get it for 100 Rs.These reviews are the from the folks which are first time French Press users. I've been using this French press for quite a while now, and am very happy with it. I've poured piping hot liquid in it without having to worry about it cracking or shattering. I use it to froth milk for cappuccinos, and it does this beautifully. The mesh at the end of the plunger is quite fine, and should keep any sediments and leaves separated from liquid.This French press froths milk way better than those battery operated milk frothing devices.

This is my first french press,i liked this because it has a class look and handy,filters at least 90% of the coffee,easy to clean by unscrewing below near the filter,forth milk pretty good,perfect for 1 large cup of coffee.
