Just be sure to keep the recorder close to the source of sound and without obstructions or disturbances. Also smoothy transfer files to computer by copy pasting no additional software required. Its sony so all good but it is not a device which can not be charged .i dont know if i use rechargeable batteries then what will happen .will the usb old style charge them or not .usb cable is not b or c ,it is that old type.after all its sony the grandpa

The product was excellent. The sound effects were audible and smooth. I use it for class room lectures and practice my voice. Its recording system is very clear. It is very sensitive and appreciate the quality.I am vety happy to have it.

Very disappointing. Dead after some days, not charging.I consulted with Amazon representative several times but in vain. They asked me to go to Sony service centre but they refused saying this is imported item.I communicated all this to Amazon representative. They always assured me to solve my problem but don't anything till date. I am thinking of switching over to flipcart.

It doesn't charge and not easy to use even looking through manual after connecting charging it doesn't give any indication and hours of charging also it shows battery low

Very good product. Quality of recording is quite good and sensitivity of the microphone is good enough. Best part is its small size and easy of carrying it along for meetings, lectures, speeches and discourses.Overall its value for money.

I don't like because noise Cancelation is very low,you can buy (Zoom h1n) voice recorder

A very useful gadget for recording live audio. I mostly use it to record discourses. The clarity of audio is ok to good, depending on the position of the device with respect to the speaker's mouth. Another advantage is it records in MP3 format. I am happy with it and use it regularly.

I purchased this product under the impression that the item will be supplied with the batteries that can be refilled with the wire connected to computer/USB. I had previously purchased sony recorder 10 years back and got with the reusable battery. So this time I expected the same. The seller needs to mention clearly that the batteries for ICD PX240 sony recorder need to be replaced. Also the recorder seems to be an old version. Cant use it for long term. For those planning to purchase, please make note of the above.

Bei soviel Schrott auf den Weltmärkten habe ich auch für dieses Produkt sehr lange gesucht und hatte die Suche quasi schon aufgegeben.......es ist wirklich schwer sich in diesem Marktsegment zu entscheiden und es war selbst nach langen Studium der Angebote mehr eine intuitive EntscheidungIch bin mit dem Produkt sehr zufrieden, handlich, leicht, super Tonqualität, sehr gut!Ich benutze es zur Raumüberwachung.Man kann es so programmieren, daß es sich automatisch einschaltet wenn "es etwas hört".Diese Funktion ist "eigentlich" dafür gedacht, daß das Gerät bei Gesprächspausen nicht aufnimmt und damit den Aufnahmetext verkürzt.Das Besondere ist dabei, daß keine Worte verloren gehen!Wenn es also eine Gesprächspause gibt die auch mehrere Minuten oder Stunden dauern kann, so geht das erste gesprochene Wort oder Geräusch beim "einschalten" nicht verloren, da das Gerät eigentlich immer aufnimmt......Phasen der Stille aber direkt wieder löscht.Ein tolles Feature, welches bei der Raumüberwachung aber dazu führt, daß die Batterien im "Dauerlauf nur etwa 24 Stunden halten. Dies ist gemessen an der erbrauchten Leistung eigentlich viel. Beim dauerhaften Einsatz für die Raumüberwachung sind also aufladbare Akkus eine gute Option
