Harcostar 168 litre Water Butt + Raintrap Diverter + Stand

Seems like a solid product. The child proof lid was also adult proof for 10 mins before I realised you had to push the latch underneth the lid inwards:Only complaint is that the base provided looks too big for the barrel. I'm guessing we got the base for its big brother by mistake ? We disgarded it and used 4 concrete blocks.

Excellent item

Appears to be sturdy. Like most water buts this has a stand made of separate hollow, fairly thin plastic shapes, which I did not use as the ground is not flat. Instead I used wood on sand. The relatively squat shape and flat top allows this to be used as a plant stand. The tap is a bit high up, so not all water at the bottom is accessible. The water diverter weirdly did not fit my downpipe, so I had to use my old one

Smashing water butt, great size, great price. Stand comes packaged inside butt which I thought was very neat. And the tap has a very feeling nice action. Highly recommended.

Hose was a bit short but otherwise great.

Good to collect and save water!!

No instructions whatever for fitting the tap. Think it’s easy, try it. You have to remove a threaded plug which was no easy feat. Tried a screwdriver which kept twisting out because it was so tight. Nearly sent it back but got there eventually with a bit of ingenuity. A socket spanner would probably be best.

I liked the quality and design of the water butt and its accessories. Provided the instructions are carefully followed it is easy to assemble and very effective at collecting rainwater.
