Good Information
Really good info, well written and organized. Really like the filing plans, one of my weak points. Took notes and ready for the new year!!

What are your life Priorities and how will you finance them?
life priorities is the first topic discussed. Few other personal finance publications mention life priorities but as Franklin Covey said"Begin with the end in mind. It has examples and charts and hyperlinks to help the beginner dig further. Anyone can benefit from the flexible expenses chapter. The fixed expense is an eye opener. The chapter on credit card debt is painful in its honesty.

Meh
This was a quick read, not that I read it quickly. (I have 3 kids, 2 jobs, and no time for anything else). It felt like a book version of a motivational speaker. Lots of basic stuff, some buzz words, maybe in the moment you felt like "yeah! Let's get this done!" But, honestly, I don't think I learned anything. Maybe this would be good for a beginner, like a teenager, say 12-16 years old. But for me? It wasn't helpful.

Good book
Pretty simple and basic. The biggest take away that I used was setting financial priorities. I found that my wife and I have similar priorities that was a load off my mind. It appears as I am right on track wit h budget as it pertains to this book. I'm ordering book two to see if there are more things I can use in that volume.

Bare bones and basic
First of all, don't let the title trick you into thinking you can read and comprehend this book in 30 minutes. Expect to spend at least twice that time if you have a reasonable reading and comprehension pace. And I'd say the person who knows nothing about personal finance, the same person who needs this book the most, should expect to take hours studying its advice.Secondly, be aware that the target audience is in fact that last person who has zero concept of money management. It's certainly written simply and cohesively. Experts and responsible people can look elsewhere for more advanced advice.
