Convenient setup to bridge multiple inputs & outputs for gaming & karaoke
I started implementing a setup that can swiftly shift between playing nintendo and singing karaoke one year ago (Winter 2023) - This splitter has been the core of my setup since then. The tricky part is in karaoke system, since it involves in a TV box for the music and multiple microphones. I ended up using a mixer to mix the music and mics. The mixer takes only analog input - and that's where this splitter shines: It extracts audio from either input and output it through a 3.5mm analog port, which works great for my solution. The switcher is also very convenient, because of it I can switch between nintendo and tv box for karaoke with just one button.

Exactly what I needed - highly recommend
Got this so I could play football on multiple TVs in different rooms, from a single cable box. Wanted to make sure sound and picture were synchronized. This worked perfectly and was exactly what I needed! I’m able to play 3 TVs on the single source with no delay and no impact to picture quality. (Has ability to go up to 4 TVs). Super easy setup. Highly recommend this.

Mirroring, not extending
The media could not be loaded. Not sure how I missed it but I thought this was not just mirroring. So basically you can watch one thing on your laptop and another thing on up to 4 monitors. The additional monitors will show the same thing, they mirror each other. So no matter what you can only show only 2 different things.

Needs a separate audio extractor to enable combination 4K & 1080P downscaled outputs! (How to)
In my experience of splitting a 4K Firestick (to be kept at 4K setting) to a 4K projector (output: 1) and three 1080P monitors (output: 2,3,4), to get sound you have to use an additional audio extractor (4K rated) with output 1. EDID set to "copy" and 4K -> 1080: 2,3,4 set to "on". I do (use remote control power to) turn on the OREI & extractor FIRST, before the displays.

The perfect solution to display in multiple monitors and extract sound to other devices
I was looking for a splitter that would also extract sound, I found a few option from this manufacturer and I wrote them to ask questions, they recommended this unit as it will automatically scale the video which I thought it was good to have but in addition it will extract the sound to optical and analog and you get both at the same time.I connected the optical to my soundbar and the analog to a audio system, I use it for Karaoke so it was good to have the sound go to a mixer but also to a soundbar in case I don't need it. Worked flawlessly, recommended

Great audio extractor
This Orei 1x2 2.0 HDMI Splitter with Scaler Audio Extractor is really a cool product. Works very well and is incredibly easy to install right out of the box--very little, simple, intuitive setup. Our new tv only has optical audio out which is not compatible with the 2nd room audio function in the receiver. I discovered that this is a very common problem. (Our old tv had both digital and analog audio outputs so this problem was never manifested.) This device converts the digital audio to analog which is compatible with the 2nd room audio function of the receiver. Also, the new tv is 4K, so I was somewhat worried that the picture quality might suffer due to the signal splitting within the device. Thankfully the device has no effect on the awesome picture quality.I am very satisfied with this device and highly recommend it. It also has great, reasonable pricing.

Audio extractor only produced a hissing noise.
Update:::Tried with AppleTV instead and it works flawlessly! Maybe something wrong with the Roku output, I’m not sure. Both video splitting and Audio works nicely!——————The Video splitter seems pretty good for 4k. But the audio extractor didn't work out for me..I got only some hissing noise. I have the audio extractor output going to an amplifier, and it just gave me a hissing noise. Its the same cable I used from a Roku XS2 device that works with the system I have. I'm not sure if there is something different I need to try.

5.1 Audio with my old Panasonic Plasma and Sound system without HDMI
I have a 60" Panasonic Plasma that only supports PCM 2.0 through HDMI, and an older Harman Kardon 5.1 receiver that doesn't support HDMI switching.I'm using the Optical out from the 1x2 Splitter, to send 5.1 audio to the HK Receiver for much better sound. When watching a movie or program I want 5.1 audio from, I force the Firestick to output Dolby Digital, this kills audio to the TV speakers since it only supports 2 channel audio, so I switch it on/off as needed.I also use the HDMI splitter to send the output from our Living Room Firestick to a TV in the Bedroom.Did this for many years on Dish Network as I didn't have to pay for a 2nd receiver that way, but recently upgraded to this splitter for the audio optical out. Also have another OREI splitter in my RV that's doing the same thing.
