worked great
Did a great job almost immediately clearing up seborrhea of the scalp which had troubled me for years and been resistant to other dandruff type shampoos. Tried this after the cream version worked wonders for my face as well. No burning or irritation and scalp appears normal according to significant other and the itching and irritation is gone. Highly recommended.

Works about as well for me as most dandruff shampoos
I have a really stubborn dry scalp and a lot of contact allergies, so my options for treating dandruff are pretty limited. After I developed a sensitivity to the Vanicream dandruff shampoo (the only thing that has ever worked for me consistently!!!), I found this and gave it a try. I went through about three or four bottles before giving up and trying something different. It didn't make my dry scalp worse, but it didn't do a lot to improve it. Also, this shampoo is a very runny consistency, so it can be difficult to apply without wasting any.

Not you typical dandruff shampoo
I've found that this really helps for my spots of psoriasis and accompanying dandruff. It isn't stinky like the tar shampoos and my skin hates salicylic acid. This seems to be keeping things far better controlled than I've had in years! I put it on my "crud spots" of psoriasis about 10-15 minutes before my shower. Then I add more of the product when I get started for the rest of my scalp. I usually don't repeat but use a mild regular shampoo to flush it out thoroughly. I use a hair brush while in the shower to help clear flakes - seems to work for me!

What a relief! I would 've given it 6 stars. (Update 4/1 after 5 months' use.)
I had an itchy, scaling area in my scalp that was driving me crazy. This shampoo has eliminated it by at least 90% after a month of using it twice a week. I think it's eventually going to completely eliminate it. I had tried Nizoral and coal tar shampoos previously and they didn't help. Yes, at first it does sting for a few minutes on scalp areas that have been scratched "raw," but that goes away after a couple of weeks as the skin heals. And you do have to keep it out of your eyes or it will sting them too. It's rather drying, so after shampooing I use a Q-tip or fingertip to massage in Noble Formula's non-greasy cream just on the affected area of the scalp. (A doctor told me to be sure to moisturize that area of the scalp after drying it out.) I have natural, untreated, undyed hair, so I don't know how it interacts with other chemicals.(Update 4/1, after 5 months' use: I stopped needing moisturizer after 4 months, but am continuing with the twice weekly shampoo. The large 3" x 3" itchy area has now decreased to 2 little areas, each about the size of a nickel. I use a tiny dot of over-the-counter cortisone about once a week on those areas to knock out any remaining itchiness, and rub the area with a Q-tip or fingertip if there's any urge whatsoever to scratch. Looks as it the affected area is going to retreat to a tiny spot at the nape of my neck where it probably originated. At this rate, it should be completely gone in another two months. If a total of 7 months seems like a long time, consider the fact that this condition had been driving me crazy for about 6 years... and was spreading!! Nothing is going to work fast, short of shaving your head and rubbing skin-damaging cortisone all over it every day, so have patience. )

Disappointed
I bought this based upon the reviews and I was so hopeful it would work for me but it didn't. It didn't control my itching and flaking, despite using it for consecutive days until it was gone. I didn't like the fact I had to use so much just to get it to lather in order to move it around my scalp and massage it into my scalp. It’s the consistency of cream (thin, white liquid) and I had to use a handful in order to get enough to lather (I have short hair). This has the same active ingredient as Head and Shoulders (Pyrithione Zinc), except that Head and Shoulders has 1% and Noble has 2%. So you could save some money by first trying Head and Shoulders, which also lathers much easier and left my hair soft and easy to manage. I’m glad it has worked for so many others, it just didn’t work for me.
